Lord Shiva's Mantra for Health, Wealth & Inner Peace

Maha Mrityunjaya or Triyambakam Mantra is often described as the most powerful Moksha Mantra in Hinduism. It should be chanted 108 times for Lord Shiva, the God of Destruction and destroyer of evil. Whilst there are many ways to worship Lord Shiva, chanting this mantra is said to be the most powerful. The invocation of Shiva's energy is thought to bestow the chanter with good health, wealth and inner peace.


Rudraksha beads made up of 108 separate Rudrakshas are used to chant this mantra.


There are 108 Upanishads (Vedic Sanskrit texts) which form the foundations of Hindu philosophy.


Amethyst and Lapis Lazuli are both Saturn stones and should be held or worn whilst chanting to this mantra. Rudraksha as mentioned earlier, is also used to hold or wear whilst chanting to this.

According to the Vedas, Rudraksha Beads were formed from Lord Shiva’s (Rudra) tears (Aksha). Rudraksha Beads are thought to protect the wearer from negative energy and help manifest their dreams. Rudraksha should be held or worn when chanting to this mantra.





Lapis Lazuli represents Saturn and the planet Saturn creates delays and frustrations in your life. As mentioned earlier, Lord Shiva is represented by Saturn. You should wear or hold onto Lapis Lazuli when chanting to this mantra.
